Day I:
Departure from Tbilisi
Depart from Tbilisi and travel along the Georgian Military
Highway. Along the way, you can visit the main church of
Georgia, Svetitskhoveli, and the Ananuri fortress. Stop for
a swim at Lake Jinvali and enjoy lunch at a local
restaurant, where you can savor delicious local dishes.
Continue through the mountain pass Djvari (cross) until you
reach the small town of Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), located at
the foot of Mount Kazbegi. Overnight in town or at Gergeti
Trinity Church camp, situated at an altitude of 2,200m.
Day II: Trek to the Meteorological
Station
Begin the trail aiming to reach the Alpine camp (old
Meteorological Station) at an altitude of 3,800m. Note that
heavy luggage is carried from this point onward (all
equipment and food). The elevation gain is 1600m. This route

horses can be rented. The day involves crossing the glacier,
requiring mountain equipment.
Accommodation options at the
Alpine camp include rooms in the Meteorological station
building or tents.
Day III: Acclimatization
Dedicate the day to adapting to altitude pressure and
undertake small routes for acclimatization. Overnight at the
same location.
Day IV: Summit Day
Ascend to the summit with an elevation gain of 1160m. Ensure
good weather, have all necessary equipment, and maintain a
determined attitude. Calculate timing to return to camp
