Tbilisi is surrounded by mountains. and there are a lot of interesting things there. For some reason they are not yet so promoted in tourist advertisements, but for us it’s even +!

One of such places is the Korogli fortress. It is located on the top of a mountain. For many centuries Korogly controlled the southern flanks of Tbilisi from invasion. The views from here are mesmerizing. There is an interesting legend associated with the name Kor ogli (son of the eagle). Korogli is also known as the last residence of Queen Tamar. 

A visit to Korogli will please those who love exploring and climbing. There are also many places for a picnic, making barbecue. But if we are going see more,  for saving time we can visit the restaurant. The restaurant is simple, un Touristik'll but wit very tasty local dishes..

Continuing our journey, we can get to the place of the great battle and victory, the Didgori field. Currently there is a memorial there.
